How to Renew Your Kenyan Drivers License Online 2022.

To renew your drivers license, you will need to log into the NTSA’s TIMS portal or the eCitizen portal using your login details. Mostly the login details are either the email address/National ID number and a password depending on the ones you set when registering.

After logging in successfully, navigate to the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) tab and select renewal of driving license. After clicking on renewal of driving license, proceed to click on submit application and then Driving licenses.

You will be required to select among these two options;

1. Annual (one year) license which costs KSH. 600

2. Three years license which costs KSH. 1,400

Choose the option which suits you most before you continue with the process.

Remember that the NTSA charge a mandatory KSH. 50 as a convenience fee on top of the renewal charges which are KSH. 600 for drivers license which expires after one year and KSH. 1,400 for drivers license which expires in three years. With this in mind, you will therefore be required to pay KSH. 650 for the former or KSH. 1,450 for the former.

All these payments are supposed to be channeled through M-Pesa paybill which you will be issued with when you are going on with the registration.

Double check your renewal details before proceeding to apply and submitting your details for application. This will avoid any error that may lead to the rejection of your application.

After completing the above process, it is now time to pay the KSH. 650 or KSH. 1,450 I mentioned in earlier stages of this article. There are three modes of payment you can choose from which include; mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel money, T-Kash), credit card or debit card. Choose the one that suits you most and proceed to make the payment.

After making the payment successfully, you can now go ahead to print the drivers license renewal slip as the process is now complete.
